The bicycle with the problem crank is Coast to Coast model C8798T men's, 27-inch, 10-speed, deraillure-type bicycle sold under the "Coast King" brand name in 26 states. The model number is on the bicycle's left rear axle plate. The bicycle is the only 1978 "Coast King" model which is royal blue. Anyone who bought this model should return it to the Coast to Coast store where purchased for a free inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the crank. A recall which included the "Coast King" model was originally announced by the bicycle manufacturer, Huffy Corp., Dayton, Ohio, and CPSC on May 31, 1978.
