Full Description:

This recall involves twelve models of Hitachi Koki and Tanaka-brand hand-held grass trimmers. The gasoline-powered trimmers have either a green engine cover (Hitachi) or orange (Tanaka). The Hitachi or Tanaka logo is printed on the circular plate on the starter pull housing. Model and serial numbers are also located on the circular plate. Trimmers included in the recall have one of the following model numbers and have a serial number that begin with J, P or a number: Brand Model Number Hitachi CG22EAB(SLP) CG22EAD(SLP) CG22EAS(SLP) CG24EASP(SL) CG27EASP(SL) Tanaka TCG22EAB(SLP) TCG22EAD(SLP) TCG22EAS(SLP) TCG24EASP(SL) TCG27EASP(SL) TCG40EAS(LP) TCG40EAS(P)
