Reason for Recall:: A partially crimped sleeve on these flagpoles can allow the cable to pull through the sleeve, causing the loop to release. When the assembly is raised with no flag attached, it can allow a seven pound counter weight to drop to the ground, possibly hitting people nearby.

Remedy:: Hapco is directly notifying consumers who purchased these flagpoles about the recall and providing free repair kits.

These Internal Halyard flagpoles have a hinged door and a metal cable on the outside of the pole.
